During lockdown, many of us went without our usual beauty services - haircuts and dyes, waxing, manicures and pedicures, eyelash extensions, tanning, facials, and more. Salons and services alike were able to reopen in June in NJ, but are you still waiting to check off all of your beauty service needs?
Many salons and beauty service providers, like Travel Tanz, jumped to take every precaution to ensure the safety of customers and employees. This has been achieved by wearing masks and gloves, social distancing when possible from guests and other employees, acquiring updated certifications in areas like infection control, routine and frequent sanitation of tools and surfaces, and more.
It’s not unusual for salons to skip blow-outs after haircuts or other nonessential services in an effort to shorten the time customers spend inside the building. The CDC advises nail salon customers book appointments in advance and wait outside the building or in their car until an employee calls them when they’re ready. This way, there are not extra people lingering in the building. The CDC also recommends patrons wash their hands or use hand sanitizer “immediately before receiving your service and after touching any common surfaces.”
You may find salons will not penalize customers who cancel appointments if COVID-19 symptoms or concerns occur. Customers should not attend appointments if they experience COVID-19 symptoms or were exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
If you’re ready to get back to the salon, simply do so responsibly while beauty providers do their best to safely make you feel and look your best.
